Takamatsu Airport is an air gateway to Kagawa Prefecture and is located in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. Domestic flights to Tokyo and Naha and International flights to Seoul, Shanghai and Taipei are available. This airport is also known as the filming location for the movie "Crying Out Love In The Center Of The World" (Sekai No Chuusin De, Ai Wo Sakebu).
It is recommended to rent a car at the airport when you visit Takamatsu City or Kagawa Prefecture. There is a car rental service counter next to the Information counter near the arrival lobby located on the 1st floor.
The Takamatsu Chuo IC and the Takamatsu Nishi IC are the closest interchanges to Takamatsu Airport. Go from the Takamatsu Chuo IC when you go to the eastern region of Kagawa including Ritsurin Garden and Yashima. Go from the Takamatsu Nishi IC when you go to the western region of Kagawa including Shiundeyama park and the Fudo Waterfall. The central area of Takamatsu City is about 25 minutes from the airport via National Route 11 and 193.
