Tsushima is an island located in the Genkai Sea in Nagasaki Prefecture. It is the 10th largest island in Japan. It is a surrounded by rich nature and virgin forest.
There are several ways to visit Tsushima island. By airplane it is about 30 minutes via the Tsushima Airport from Fukuoka Airport or the Nagasaki Airport. By high-speed boat it is about 2 hours or by ferry it is about 3 hours and 40 minutes via Izuhara Port to arrive at Tsushima island.
It may become inconvenient to go sightseeing without a rental car in Tsushima. Renting a car at the Tsushima Airport or near Izuhara Port is highly recommended.
The Tsushima Wildlife Conservation Center, the Asou Bay Park, the Eboshidake Observatory and the Watazumi Shrine are about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Tsushima Airport. You may leisurely enjoy a drive overlooking Tsushima's natural beauty.
