Car rental at Iwakuni Airport
Originally, Iwakuni Airport was an airport for the Japan Self-Defense Forces and the US military and became an airport for the military and civilians in 2012. Please note that you may not drop off the rental car at the rental car office due to the congestion around the airport, because there is an event called “Iwakuni Air Base Friendship Day” on May 5 every year.

After making a procedure at the rental car counter in the Airport Terminal, you can receive a rental car directly at the airport parking lot. (There are some exceptions depending on business hours)

1. Go out from the Arrival Gate to the exit in front.
2. Make a procedure at the rental car counter on the left.
3. Get out from the exit next to the rental car counter.
4. Go straight on the right side of the front exit to the bus stop.
5. You can rent a car directly at the parking lot at the end of the pavement.
