Car rental at Misawa Airport
Misawa Airport is known as the “Kita no Yari (Northern Spear)”, since it is used by the US Air Force. If you want to go sightseeing around the area, Misawa Airbase is recommended. It takes about a few minutes by car. At Misawa Airbase, the Misawa Air Festival is held in every September by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Since there is not enough public transportation around the airport area, please use a rental car to go around.

Misawa Airport What to do after arrival
1. There are two rental car counters on the left and in front after going out from the Arrival Gate.
2-1. On the left side, there are NIPPON Rent a Car and TOYOTA Rent a Car counters.
2-2. There are ORIX Rent a Car and Times Car RENTAL counters on the right side in front.
3. After making a procedure at the rental car counter, go out from the nearest exit in the Arrival Lobby.
4. Go out from the exit and there is a smoking area on the left. Go through the pavement made of wood, in front of the smoking area,
5. You can either depart from the parking lot or go to the sales office by the shuttle bus.
