Car rental at Iwami Airport
The airport was opened in the third in Shimane Prefecture. It is about 45 minutes by car to Tsuwano-cho, which is known for Sagimaishinji, and about an hour to Hagi City in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
From the observation deck at the airport, you can see the Sea of Japan in far distance if the weather is fine. Also, if you go to the beautiful sandy beach “Sanrigahama”, which has 10 km length, within 5 minutes' driving, you can see the sunset over the Sea of Japan.

After arriving at the airport, make a procedure at the rental car counter of each office in front of the Arrival Gate and then you can rent a car directly at the airport parking lot.
