Insurance compensation system of TRY RENT A CAR

Scope and limit of compensation

In case of an accident, insurance will be paid within the following limits.

Bodily Injury Unlimited (including compulsory insurance: 30 million yen)
Property Damage 5 million yen (deductible: 50,000 yen, microbuses 100,000 yen)
Car Damage Actual cash value (per accident limit) deductible: 50,000 yen, microbuses 100,000 yen
Passenger Compensation 10 million yen Death: 10 million yen per passenger
Hospitalization: 7,500 yen per day / Outpatient care: 5,000 yen per day (maximum 180 days)
  • Pricing of all plans in Tabirai Car Rental includes collision damage waiver.

Non-operation charge (NOC)

In the event of an accident causing damage to the vehicle during use, you will be required to bear a Non-Operation Charge (NOC) as part of the compensation for loss profit of the business during the repair period, regardless of the duration of repairs or the extent of the damage.

Peace of Mind Coverage System

The Peace of Mind Coverage System is an optional plan that, for an additional fee of 1,100 yen per day (tax included), eliminates the financial burden of the Non-Operation Charge (NOC) within the applicable coverage range.
The "Non-Operation Charge" refers to the compensation customers are required to bear if they cause damage to the vehicle. While the repair costs are fully covered by insurance, customers are responsible for covering the loss profit of business during the repair period.
If the damage is minor and allows the vehicle to be returned to the rental station, the NOC is 20,000 yen. For more severe damage that prevents the vehicle from being returned, customers will be charged 50,000 yen plus towing fees.

Customer's burden

In the following cases, you will be responsible for the costs even if you are enrolled in the Deductible Insurance or the Peace of Mind Coverage System
●In the event of usage that violates the terms of our rental agreement

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, without a valid license, or under the influence of drugs
  • Failing to report the accident to the police at the scene
  • Failing to contact the rental office from the accident scene (if outside business hours, please contact us the following morning without fail)
  • Settling with the other party without notifying us
  • Failing to wear seat belts while driving
  • Exceeding the maximum passenger capacity of the vehicle
  • Accidents caused by individuals not listed as the driver or additional driver in the rental agreement
  • Malfunctions caused by operational errors (e.g., driving with the parking brake engaged, battery depletion due to prolonged use of headlights, audio systems, or interior lights while the engine is off).
  • Damage to tires or loss of wheel caps.
  • Damage to the vehicle's interior equipment, or incidents involving key submersion or loss.
  • Driving on non-road surfaces such as coasts, riverbanks, sandy beaches, or forested areas.
  • Reckless driving or gross negligence by the driver (e.g., speeding, running red lights, distracted driving, drowsy driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, or using a mobile phone while driving).
  • Single-vehicle accidents or hit-and-run incidents.
