Insurance compensation system of Saigo Rental Car
Scope and limit of compensation
In case of an accident, insurance will be paid within the following limits.

We will compensate for injuries (including death and permanent disability) sustained by passengers in a car accident, regardless of the driver's degree of negligence. The amount of compensation will be determined by the insurance company based on the terms and conditions of the insurance policy. |
* The insurance coverage period is limited to 180 days from the occurrence of the accident.
* Insurance will not be paid if there is no police accident certificate or if the accident falls under the disclaimer in the insurance policy.
Examples of cases where insurance will not be paid
- If the accident is not reported to the police (if there is no accident certificate)
- Accidents caused by someone other than the person provided at the time of departure (the person who presented their driver's license)
- Accidents caused by driving without a license
- Accidents caused by driving under the influence of alcohol
- Accidents caused by using the vehicle beyond the end of the rental period without permission

Collision Damage Waiver system
The Collision Damage Waiver system covers the customer's liability for property damage (50,000 yen deductible) and vehicle damage (100,000 yen deductible) as shown in the table above in the event of an accident.
*Insurance will not apply in cases that fall under the exclusions listed in the “Insurance compensation amount” above.
- Pricing of all plans in Tabirai Car Rental includes collision damage waiver.
Peace of Mind Guarantee System
In addition to the above Collision Damage Waiver system, optional insurance is available.
This system exempts customers from all liability.
For an additional 1,100 yen (including consumption tax) per day, you can purchase this option to exempt yourself from the Collision Damage Waiver system and the following non-operation charges and other expenses.
