Regarding Liability Waiver Compensation

In the event of an unforeseen accident while using our rental car, our liability waiver compensation system ensures that you do not bear the cost when our insurance is used (¥50,000 for property damage liability and ¥100,000 for vehicle damage liability).

Vehicle Damage Compensation

Vehicle damage compensation is separate from NOC (Non-Operation Charge). If the rental vehicle is damaged or suffers loss, the specified compensation fee paid to our company will cover repair costs within the stipulated range.
*If repair costs exceed the compensation amount, the customer will pay the difference. If not enrolled in vehicle damage compensation, the customer will pay the full repair cost up to the limit.
For example, if the vehicle is damaged by a hit-and-run or gets a door dent (commonly known as a "door punch") while parked, the responsibility lies with the borrower (driver) even if they are unaware of the damage.
*Any damage not noted at the time of vehicle pick-up will be the responsibility of the borrower (driver). Please understand this policy.

Damage to tires (puncture or burst), wheels, and loss of wheel caps are not covered.

This policy applies to liability waivers, NOC, and vehicle damage compensation. In the event of an accident with another vehicle, self-inflicted damage, scraping against signs, poles, walls, or curbs, or in the case of a hit-and-run in a parking lot, you must immediately contact the nearest police, our store, and the insurance company if there are any new scratches compared to the condition at the time of rental.
Failure to report any damage, regardless of size or severity, will result in the damage not being covered.

NOC (Non-Operation Charge)

NOC refers to compensation for the period during which the rental vehicle cannot be operated for business due to an accident or necessary repairs.
NOC coverage is a system that waives the NOC payment (¥50,000–¥100,000) in the event of an unforeseen accident during your rental period.
Even if you have liability waiver coverage, NOC is not included, and separate enrollment is required for NOC coverage.
If you do not enroll in liability waiver coverage, you cannot enroll in NOC coverage either.

If not enrolled in NOC and the vehicle cannot be driven back ¥100,000

If the vehicle cannot be driven back, you will also bear additional costs (such as towing service fees).

Extensions without our permission, subletting to a third party, or accidents involving unauthorized drivers are not covered by insurance.
Enrollment in vehicle damage and NOC coverage requires coverage for all days of the rental period.
For damage or soiling of interior items in C-class vehicles, actual costs will be charged.

Disclaimers: Not Covered by NOC or Vehicle Compensation

If the accident was not reported immediately (contacting the relevant police station, insurance company, and our store).
Drunk driving, use of narcotics (including similar substances).
Malicious accidents violating terms and conditions or laws (driving without a license, not presenting a license to our store, ignoring traffic signals, speeding, parking violations, etc.).
If additional drivers are added, please send a copy of their driver's license to info@r-boon.co.jp and call our store before they start driving. Outside business hours, coverage begins when the email is received.
If we do not receive the driver's license image by email, the coverage will be void regardless of the reason.

  • Personal belongings inside the car are not covered.

  • Loss, submersion, or damage to keys due to dropping, etc. (charges start from ¥55,000).
