Insurance compensation system of Kuruka Car Rental
Insurance, compensation, and liability in case of accidents
If you cause an accident while driving a rental car rented from our company and it results in damage to our company or a third party, you are responsible for compensating for that damage.
However, to supplement the liability incurred by customers during accidents, we provide the following insurance and compensation system. Please note that any compensation amount exceeding the deductible and the maximum limit of the insurance and compensation system will be borne by the customer.

The above insurance and compensation system does not apply in cases of violation of our rental agreement, exemptions specified in the insurance policy, or when the police accident report cannot be obtained.
About exemption compensation
By enrolling in this system, you will be exempt from paying the deductible amount for property damage and vehicle damage in the event of an accident. Enrollment is only possible at the time of departure, and it cannot be added or canceled during the rental period.

Non-Operation Charge
If you cause an accident with the rental car you rented and the vehicle required repairs, please pay the following amount as part of the business compensation during the repair period. This payment is irrespective of the extent of damage, repair duration, or whether you have enrolled in the exemption compensation system.

In the unlikely event that an accident occurs while driving a rented car, and repairs to the vehicle become necessary, the following amounts will be charged as part of the business compensation during the repair period, regardless of the extent of damage, repair duration, or whether the exemption compensation system is in place.

Scenarios excluded from insurance/compensation
The following situations fall outside the scope of insurance/compensation, and repair costs will be borne by the customer.
- Tire punctures or bursts, damage to tire wheels or loss
- damage of hub caps, loss
- damage of interior equipment in the vehicle
- Cracks or damage to glass caused by flying debris.
Accidents not covered even with CDW inclusion
When accidents occur due to serious traffic violations as described below, even if you have enrolled in the exemption compensation system, you will be responsible for the deductible amount.
- Serious traffic violations resulting in accidents, such as speeding
- crossing center lines in no-passing zone
- running red lights
- failing to stop
- prohibited right turns, U-turns, entering unauthorized directions
- willful misconduct or gross negligence
Cases where the insurance/compensation system cannot be applied.
In the event of an accident occurring under the following driving conditions or circumstances, all expenses will be responsible of the customer.
- Accidents due to serious traffic violations
- failure to report to the police from the accident scene (if a police accident certificate cannot be obtained)
- failure to notify the rental shop from the accident scene
- un authorized settlements with the other party
- accidents due to unauthorized extension of rental period
- accidents caused by someone other than the contract signatory
- Accidents due to seatbelt non-use
- drunk driving
- unlicensed driving
- theft-related vehicle damage
- accidents during overcapacity driving
- or off-road driving (e.g., on beaches, riverbanks, or forests)
- Damage or corrosion repair costs resulting from improper use
- various tests, use in competitions, towing, or pushing other vehicles
- accidents between our rental car and vehicles owned, used, or managed by the customer
- malfunctions due to operator error
- damage to rental cars or signs within the rental shop
- Damage to interior equipment
- scratches caused by tire chains or ski carriers
- tire damage, loss of tires or hub caps
- violations of our rental agreement terms
- other accidents falling under insurance exemption clauses
- Accidents caused by improper vehicle management
