Insurance compensation system of J-Trip Car Rentals

About insurance and compensation

If the customer (the renter and the driver declared at the time of rental) causes damage to a third party or to our company due to an accident, the customer is responsible for compensating for that damage. To supplement this liability for damages (for which the insurance company pays insurance benefits), compensation is included through insurance with the following limits. However, the deductible amount is the customer's responsibility.

In case of injury or death to others Unlimited Unlimited per person (including compulsory liability insurance coverage)
In case of damage to other vehicles or property Unlimited Unlimited per accident with a deductible of 50,000 yen (100,000 yen for imported cars)
In case of damage to the rental car Up to the current market value of the vehicle per accident Unlimited per accident with a deductible of 50,000 yen (100,000 yen for imported cars)
In case of passengers are harmed 30 million yen Up to 30,000,000 yen per person (limited to incidents occurring while riding in the rental car only)

*For injuries resulting from passengers' car accidents (including death or disability), regardless of the driver's fault percentage, compensation is provided up to a limit of 30,000,000 yen. The amount of damages, including medical expenses, is calculated according to the terms of the insurance policy.

  • Pricing of all plans in Tabirai Car Rental includes collision damage waiver.

Non-Operation Charge (NOC)

Within the compensation amount for property damage and vehicle coverage, this refers to the amount borne by the customer.
*Note: The deductible compensation fee varies depending on the usage and class.

If the car can run by itself 20,000 yen
If the car is totally out of order 50,000 yen

In the event of accidents, theft, breakdowns, or damage to the vehicle that is not dur to our responsibility, if repairs, cleaning, or other maintenance are necessary during that period, you will be required to pay the following amounts regardless of the extent of the damage or the duration of repairs as part of the business compensation.
Non-Operation Charge (NOC) does not include consumption tax (including local consumption tax).
Even if you have purchased the Vehicle and Property Accident Deductible Compensation System, you will still be responsible for this charge, so please be aware.
Separate charges such as towing fees will be borne by the customer.
