Insurance compensation system of Honda Cars Hakata Rent-a-Car
The application of the compensation system requires notifying the police and our company at the accident scene when an accident occurs. If these notifications are not made, the compensation system becomes invalid, and you will be responsible for the basic price cost.
About the compensation system
To prepare for any accidents during your use, the following insurance coverage is included in the rental fee.
■Bodily Injury:Unlimited per person (deductible 0 yen)
■Property Damage:Unlimited per accident(deductible 50,000 yen)
Coverage for full loss repair costs to property
■Passenger Compensation:Up to 30 million yen per person
*For injuries (including residual disabilities) and deaths resulting from passengers' automobile accidents, compensation will be provided regardless of the driver's degree of fault.
(Limit of 30 million yen: Damage assessment is carried out by the insurance company based on the insurance policy.)
■Car Damage:1 accident limit: Up to vehicle market value (deductible 50,000 yen)
*However, expenses falling under the categories listed in the table for "Cost to be paid in the event of accidents, damage, soiling, etc." will be charged at actual cost.
Collision Damage Waiver system
In the event of an accident, this system exempts customers from paying the deductible for property damage and vehicle coverage.
■Vehicles other than those listed below:

*If the rental period is 20 days or more but within 1 month, compensation will be provided for up to 1 month, limited to the equivalent of 20 days' coverage.
*If the rental time is within 12 hours, the HCH Compensation Pack cannot be used.
*Vehicle return during business hours is a requirement.

Non Operation Charge (Collision Damage Waiver)
If accidents, theft, or damage occur during your use due to you or passenger negligence, resulting in the need of vehicle repair, cleaning, or odor removal (such as tabacco or petroleum smells), regardless of the extent or duration of repairs or cleaning, we will ask you to compensate for the period during which our service cannot be provided as part of our business compensation (Non Operation Charge).(Damage to interior equipment, including seat burn holes, etc. is also covered by the NOC.)
■If you drove the car to return it to the office:20,000 yen
■f the car is totally out of order:50,000 yen
*Note that if multiple incidents occur, you may be required to combine NOC payments.
- Non Operation Charge will be applied even if you joined Collision Damage Waiver system.
HCH Compensation Pack
1.NOC payments that customers would otherwise bear in the event of an accident are waived.
2.If a flat tire occurs, repair costs for damaged tires or replacement tire expenses are covered at no charge.(*1,*2)
3.Charge for extending rental time up to 1 hour beyond the original period are waived.(*3, *4)
4.If you return the vehicle midway through the rental period, the usual mid-term cancellation fee is waived.(※5)exemption
*Enrollment in the wide deductible waiver system requires participation in the deductible waiver system.
*Please check with the rental car company for applicable classes and amounts.
*Please note that you cannot enroll in or cancel this pack midway through the rental period.

Regarding the costs to be paid in the event of an accident, damage, or contamination
*Charges may be incurred depending on the nature of the accident, damage, or stain. Please check with the rental car company for details.
*If towing costs exceed the insurance coverage, you may be responsible for those expenses as well.
*In cases where the determination of damage ratio by the insurance company has not been finalized or when the responsibility of the customer is unclear, we may temporarily hold the specified amount of burden. If it is confirmed that the customer is not at fault, the amount held will be fully refunded.
*If the vehicle is repaired during use and the same vehicle continues to be used, there will be no NOC.
*If the actual cost is lower than the deductible, the actual cost will be paid by the customer.
Cases where the compensation system is not applied
In the following cases, insurance and compensation amounts cannot be applied.
- Failure to report the accident to the police or our company (if there is no accident certificate)
- Intentional accidents
- Accidents caused by someone other than the contract holder or an authorized driver of the rental car
- Violation of rental agreement terms
- Accidents related to drunk driving, reckless driving, drug use, unauthorized extension, or hit・and・run
- Renting the vehicle for commercial purposes or drivig without a valid license (including violations during a license suspension period or driving a type of vehicle not allowed)
- Unauthorized settlements, use of the vehicle for various tests, competitions, towing, or pushing other vehicles
- Other accidents falling under the exceptions specified in the rental agreement
- Negligence in use or management
- Theft of a vehicle parked unlocked
- Damage or corrosion repair costs due to poor usage of the vehicle body, etc.
- Accidents and vehicle damage that occur when driving on roads other than those properly maintained and managed (such as coastlines, riverbanks, or forest roads)
- Repair costs resulting from mistakes in fuel types during refueling
- For damages not covered by insurance or compensation limit, the customer is responsible for the actual expenses。
Hit-and-run accidents with an unidentified party, damage due to car break-ins, or damage caused by flying stones hitting the glass
To qualify for insurance or compensation, reporting to the police is necessary.
Regarding illegal parking
Since June 1, 2006, enforcement against abandoned parking has been strengthened. Even short-term abandoned parking is subject to enforcement. Private parking attendants verify abandoned parking violations.
If a confirmation sticker for abandoned vehicle is affixed during the rental period, please take the following actions. Please turn yourself to the police promptly.
*If the police contact us, we will inform you. Complete the payment of fines and necessary procedures. After handling the violation, return the vehicle.
If you return the vehicle without addressing the violation, you will be responsible for the following costs.
