Insurance compensation system of DAIHATSU RENT A CAR

Accident compensation system

In case of an accident, insurance will be paid within the following limits.

Bodily Injury Unlimited per person (including compulsory automobile liability insurance)
Property Damage Unlimited coverage per accident: Customer liability: \30,000
Car Damage Actual cash value compensation per accident: Customer liability: Light passenger vehicles & light cargo vehicles: Deductible \50,000 / Small passenger vehicles, regular passenger vehicles, small cargo vehicles: Deductible \100,000
Bodily Injury Up to \30 million (only covered while onboard)

(Notice): Accidents that fall under exclusions in insurance terms, violations of rental agreements, or cases without a police report will not be covered. The customer must bear the full cost. (Please read the rental agreement carefully.)

Liability compensation system

Liability Waiver Fee (per day) 2,000 yen

If you enroll in this system, insurance-covered accidents will exempt the customer from paying the following: Third-party property deductible: \30,000 / Vehicle deductible: \50,000 for light vehicles, \100,000 for small and regular vehicles.
(Note): Rental fees do not include this coverage.

  • Pricing of all plans in Tabirai Car Rental includes collision damage waiver.

Non-operation charge (NOC)

If an accident, theft, breakdown, or contamination occurs during your rental, requiring vehicle repairs or cleaning, the customer must pay for a Non-Operation Charge as compensation for business loss during the rental period, regardless of the duration or the extent of the damage.

If the vehicle can be returned to the designated store (drivable condition) 20,000 yen
If the vehicle cannot be returned to the designated store (non-drivable condition) 50,000 yen

(Notice): The cost of towing and moving the vehicle will be borne by the customer.

  • Non Operation Charge will be applied even if you joined Collision Damage Waiver system.

Safety Pack System

Safety Pack System(per day) 750 yen

By enrolling in the Anshin Pack, customers receive coverage for the following.

  • Waiver of Non-Operation Charge in case of an accident.
  • Exemption from costs related to tire punctures/damage and broken/lost hub caps.
    (Notice): Rental fees do not include this coverage.

In the unlikely event of an accident

  • If injuries occur, prioritize aiding the injured.
  • Contact the police and rental store regardless of accident severity.
  • Fill out the included accident report form.

The customer is fully responsible for the following cases.

  • Losing the engine key (electronic or standard key).
  • Interior contamination or damage from smoking (burn marks, odor).
  • Dirt or odor caused by pets.
  • Accidents due to drunk driving, speeding, reckless driving, or other traffic violations.
  • Failure to report the accident to the police and rental store.
  • Operation by unauthorized drivers.
  • Accidents occurring after exceeding the rental time without notice.
  • Unauthorized settlement with the other party at the accident scene.
  • Violations of rental and insurance agreements.
  • Tire replacement costs (the repair cost and labor fee if the repair shop determines that a simple puncture repair is sufficient).
  • Hub cap damage/loss (replacement required regardless of scratch size).
  • Accidents caused by using a phone or focusing on navigation while driving.
