Kawasaki Station is the second busiest station in Kanagawa Prefecture. The Tokaido Main Line, the Keihin-Tohoku Line and the Nambu Line are available. Kawasaki Station is visited by many tourists in addition to adult and student commuters.
There is a car rental service office in Keikyu Kawasaki Station located behind the Muza Kawasaki next to JR Kawasaki Station. It will be a good idea to book a rental car in advance, if you are planning to go sightseeing from Kawasaki Station.
The Tomei-Kawasaki IC is the closest interchange to Kawasaki Station. The Kawasaki Daishi (Heiken-ji Temple) is visited by many worshipers during “Hatsumode” season (the practice of visiting a shrine or a temple at the beginning of the New Year) and is about 10 minutes by car from Kawasaki Station. The Fujiko F Fujio Museum is near the Tama River located along the border between Tokyo and Kanagawa. It is about 30 minutes from the Kawasaki Station along the Fuchu Kaido road to the southwest.
