Mishima Station is a major station located in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The Tokaido Shinkansen, the Tokaido Main Line, and the Izuhakone Railway Sunzu Line are available. JR station building itself is a remarkable view. This station was built in the image of Mount Fuji and the Mishima Taisha (shrine).
It is convenient to use a rental car if you are planning to go sightseeing to towns surrounded by rich nature in Mishima City in addition to the historical sites. There are several car rental service offices outside the south exit of JR Mishima Station. It is recommended to rent a car at this location before starting the tourism. Mishima Taisha (shrine) and Jurakuen (Garden park) are within walking distance from the station.
There is the Kakita River in the Kakita Park. The largest amount of springwater in the East comes from this river.
Kakita Park is about 10 minutes drive from the station along prefectural road 22 → prefectural road 144. The Izu Fruit Park is located along National Route 1. You can pick strawberries and mandarin oranges and have fun in this park.
