The huge glass dome called Motenashi Dome and the wooden gate called Tsuzumi-mon are the symbol of Kanazawa station. Many tourists visit this station not only for transportation purposes but also to enjoy the beauty of the station.

    It is recommended to rent a car if you are planning to go sightseeing from Kanazawa Station. Car rental service offices are in various locations including under the overpass of conventional lines and near the bus rotary on the west exit side of the station.

    One of the popular driving routes in Kanazawa is from the Higashi Chaya-Gai → the Kenroku-en (garden) → the Ishikawa Prefectural History Museum → the Nagamachi Bukeyashiki-ato (Nagamachi Samurai Residence Site). The Higashi Chaya-Gai is about 10 minutes from Kanazawa Station along National Route 159. Then, the Kenroku-en (garden) is about 6 minutes → the Ishikawa Prefectural History Museum is about 5 minutes → the Nagamachi Bukeyashiki-ato is about 8 minutes via National Route 359. You can enjoy the attractions of Kanazawa thoroughly in one day.

    Komatsu Airport is an air gateway to Ishikawa Prefecture connecting to major cities including Tokyo, Sapporo and Fukuoka. International flights to Seoul and Shanghai are available as well.

    Komatsu Station is the closest train station to Komatsu Airport. This airport is in an excellent location to start Sea of Japan coastal tourism including the Kanazawa area and Tojinbo. There is a car rental information counter located in front of the arrival lobby on the 1st floor. It is convenient to have a rental car when you go sightseeing.

    Popular hot spring areas including the Katayamazu Onsen and the Kaga Onsen are about 20 to 30 minutes south from the airport via the Komatsu IC → the Hokuriku Expressway. Tojinbo is about 51 minutes via the Hokuriku Expressway exit at the Kanazu IC → National Route 305. Use the Maruoka IC exit to go to the Maruoka Castle.

Noto Airport operates regular flights connecting Ishikawa Prefecture and Tokyo. Anamizu Station is the closest train station. The Noto Kuko (Airport) IC is the closest interchange to Noto Airport.

    Rental cars are a must-have when you go sightseeing on Noto Peninsula because public transit systems are not substantially developed in this area.
