    Kobe Airport is the only air gateway to Hyogo Prefecture. There are many regular flights to Ibaraki, Nagasaki and Kagoshima in addition to major cities including Tokyo and Sapporo. This is a very convenient airport.

    Sannomiya Station is the closest train station to Kobe Airport. It is about 18 minutes by the Port Liner from the airport. It might be a good idea to rent a car if you are planning to go to Kobe City or Osaka. There is a Rent-a-car counter next to the General Information desk located at the arrival lobby terminal on the 1st floor.

    A popular tourist destination from Kobe Airport is Mount Rokko where there are golf courses and artificial ski slopes. Mount Rokko is about 45 minutes from Kobe Airport → Hanshin Expressway Route 32 Shin-Kobe tunnel → Hanshin Expressway Route 7 Kita-Kobe Line → Ura Rokko Driveway → prefectural road 16. A popular hot spring "Arima Onsen" is near Mount Rokko.

    Himeji Station is a primary station for Himaji City, Hyogo Prefecture. The Sanyo Shinkansen and conventional lines including the Sanyo Main Line, the Bantan Line and the Kishin Line are available. This station provides easy access to other prefectures and is visited by many tourists.

    Although various public transportation vehicles including trains and buses are available from Himeji Station, it is ideal to use a rental car if you want to travel more freely to each sightseeing spot.     Although Shin-Kobe Station is located in an urban area, it is ideal to use a rental car if you are planning to go to hot springs or Osaka Bay areas. Including the one located at the concourse on the 1st floor of the station, there are several car rental service offices within 5 minutes from the station on foot.

    Meriken Park is a symbol of Kobe City. You may drive along National Route 2 and prefectural road 30 to go to Meriken Park from the station. You can stop by the Kobe Luminarie on the way to Meriken Park if you go via National Route 2 along the coast. The 1300-year-old Arima Onsen and the Tansansengen Park are about 30 minutes from the station via the expressway.
