Shin-Kobe Station is an entrance to Kobe located at the foot of Mount Rokko. The Sanyo Shinkansen, the Yamate Line and the Hokushin Line are available. There are many high-rise buildings and commercial facilities around this station. It is a convenient station for tourists who are visiting from other prefectures.
Although Shin-Kobe Station is located in an urban area, it is ideal to use a rental car if you are planning to go to hot springs or Osaka Bay areas. Including the one located at the concourse on the 1st floor of the station, there are several car rental service offices within 5 minutes from the station on foot.
Meriken Park is a symbol of Kobe City. You may drive along National Route 2 and prefectural road 30 to go to Meriken Park from the station. You can stop by the Kobe Luminarie on the way to Meriken Park if you go via National Route 2 along the coast. The 1300-year-old Arima Onsen and the Tansansengen Park are about 30 minutes from the station via the expressway.
